Terms of Use

1. Purpose and Scope

This document sets out the rules applicable to any person (“User”) who browses or uses the services offered by the emploivaud.ch portal (“Platform”), operated on a non-profit basis by a collective of volunteers.

2. Acceptance of the ToU

By simply using the Platform, the User fully accepts the Terms of Use in effect on the date of access.

3. Services Offered

  • Publication and browsing of job offers in Lausanne and throughout the canton of Vaud.
  • Voluntary submission of applications via form (CV, cover letter, etc.).
  • Aggregated statistical tools aimed at improving transparency in the local job market.
  • No “premium” or paid features are offered.

4. Registration and Publication

  • Users voluntarily enter their information; no account is created.
  • The volunteer Employer guarantees the accuracy of the published job offers.
  • Applications are only visible to the designated recruiter of the relevant company.

5. Personal Data Protection

  • Purpose: Collected data is used exclusively for processing applications and generating anonymized statistics.
  • No data transfer: Personal data of candidates or employers is never transferred to third parties (e.g., commercial platforms, recruitment agencies).
  • Hosting: All data and files are stored on servers located exclusively in Switzerland (canton of Vaud).
  • Retention:
    • Application files: deleted no later than 6 months after the job posting closes, except for anonymized indicators (age, municipality, gender) used for statistical purposes.
    • Technical logs: retained for 30 days.
    • Technical metadata such as your device type and browser version may be collected to ensure compatibility and prevent fraud.
  • Rights: In accordance with the Swiss FADP and the GDPR, anyone may exercise their rights to access, rectify, or delete their data by writing to: info@emploivaud.ch

6. Liability

  • The Platform is developed and maintained by volunteers.
  • No guarantee is given regarding the availability or accuracy of the content.
  • The Platform cannot be held responsible for hiring decisions or for indirect damages resulting from the use of the site.

7. Security

  • All connections are protected by TLS 1.3 encryption (HTTPS).
  • Encrypted backups are performed daily in the same region.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The site’s source code is proprietary and not publicly shared, for security and confidentiality reasons; all content (job offers, logos, texts) remains the property of their respective authors.

9. Changes to the ToU

  • The Terms of Use may be updated at any time. The date of the most recent update is indicated at the top of the document.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by Swiss law.
  • Any dispute shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law.
